    Paul,

Yes it is correct according to the rules. it has to do where your ball went in the water at a straight line back.  This thread a few month ago discussed this in depth.

Actually according to the rules, you take where the ball entered the hazard (likely straight ahead from the center of the tees) then you can take 2 clubs from point of entry or go back as far as you like as long as it's in a straight line from flag stick  and point of entry.  The rules also afford you the ability to re-tee hitting 3 which would certainly be a better option.

You would have to almost hit a pure shank to enter the hazard that far right and receive that drop within the rules.  The usual culprit for finding the drink there is a meter skip or lag and the ball enters the hazard straight ahead of tees.  So technically, the drop that far right isn't anywhere near within the rules of the game.

Thanks for taking a look at it though.  Almost 5 months certainly seems like ample time to find a solution.

Well, back to TWO for me.  Yes the game blows compared to WGT when the meter works right here but those days are gone with the wind.

For the record folks, I've been playing TWO almost exclusively since Feb 1 and they have a ton of issues also.  If you're meter works on this site, stick it out.  Yes bugs like this drop are infuriating, especially when it's been discussed and reported repeatedly for months and months, but all in all WGT is a great game sprinkled with some glaring ineptitude from the developers.  TWO is just plain goofy golf but the meter works and greens are mapped right.  Take your pick.

    USGA RULES OF GOLF

Playing from the original spot is option A.

26-1. Relief for Ball in Water Hazard

It is a question of fact whether a ball that has not been found after having been struck toward a water hazard is in the hazard. In order to apply this Rule, it must be known or virtually certain that the ball is in the hazard. In the absence of such knowledge or certainty, the player must proceed under Rule 27-1.

If a ball is in a water hazard or if it is known or virtually certain that a ball that has not been found is in a water hazard (whether the ball lies in water or not), the player may under penalty of one stroke:

    a. Play a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played (see Rule 20-5); or

    b. Drop a ball behind the water hazard, keeping the point at which the original ball last crossed the margin of the water hazard directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit to how far behind the water hazard the ball may be dropped; or

    c. As additional options available only if the ball last crossed the margin of a lateral water hazard, drop a ball outside the water hazard within two club-lengths of and not nearer the hole than (i) the point where the original ball last crossed the margin of the water hazard or (ii) a point on the opposite margin of the water hazard equidistant from the hole.
