Aw, c'mon....they sorta mostly-ish get it right

The CC Bracket tourneys are usually correct.  The Free Bracket tourneys are usually correct (once one realizes that "very fast" means tournament 11), and the 1st round of the Premiums are usually okay.

That's at least as high a percentage as completed Alternate shot matches.

I guess they can't let the multi-players have all the fun.

Don it changed some time back.  The first round will be as advertised and then two rounds will be variable then you will get the advertised wind and speed again eventually. Thats the reason I quit playing them. At least I know what i get in rgs.

Since the conditions are the same for both you and your opponent, what difference does it make? The entire game of golf is about adapting to conditions.

Thanks Lonnie ... I had taken a couple months off so I didn't know that ... nothing like starting a round expecting low winds and very fast greens and finding heavy winds and fast 9 green speed ... what a stupid idea by management ...

The difference being you might equip some different clubs for different conditions ... having the wrong club(s) can put you at a disadvantage ... it's a stupid idea , period ...

Obviously, I'm not there yet.  It must be graduate level course.  Is that covered in Club Selection 501? ;-)

They may be the same...i/e heavy winds and fast greens...but it's the winds that are not really the "same" for everyone...Heavy winds are a crap shoot...I/e look at a par 5 heavy wind 9 hole round...A player with side and tail winds has an advantage over a player with headwinds.

MP is only the true "same conditions" for both players.
