wgt server quality

   To the technicians at wgt you really need to fix your server problem. It has progressively come to the point that not one game can be completed without 1 or 2 players having to reconnect, or our meters start to go out of control to where it causes us to loose expensive balls that we pay for. This game used to be fun now it has become much like a job and expensive. Starting to look more like, dare i say, intentional, because this has been going on for quite awhile now and nothings changed. So whats the story?

      Parmed, i can't help you with the disconnects, but i have a suggestion that might help with the crazy meter. When i experience meter problems, what i will do is take maybe 1 or 2 practice swings (through the ball without clicking the mouse) along with pausing at the top of my back swing for just a moment. This is something that someone suggested years ago in the forum as a way to deal with a jumpy meter and it does work. I do this & generally the problem gets solved right away. Sometimes it might take a couple of times to get things sorted out. I hope trying this will help you.

  It is my understanding WGT doesn't have any servers.

  Like most online destinations that have a lot of traffic WGT leases severs from one of the large server farm companies, like Datapipe.

  The meter plays on your computer, not on WGT's servers.

  If the meter does not play smoothly on your computer, your computer is by far the most likely cause of a jerky meter. Check to make sure your CPU is not busy during the down swing.

  Lots of us play multiplayer games without disconnect problems, so too you should look first at the maintenance and care you give your computer. Note however that Alt Shot and Match Play multiplayer games require even more diligent care of your computer. Notwithstanding the multitude of connections between your computer and the server farm WGT leases that are also potential points of a disconnect.
