One of the more frustrating things is the number of people that quit a game. Do you ever see pro's walking off to the club house on the 6th hole because they didn't like their score?

This is one of the reasons why I think...

Now notice I am 1 stroke up, and this is only the 6th hole. I continued to get the "want to continue" pop up the rest of the game.

There are three players in the game. Dollars to doughnuts there was a fourth who flamed out early. WGT is still counting his score, even though he hasn't fired a shot for several holes, so naturally it figures you (and your playing partners) are hopelessly behind.

It's a glitch. It's also easy to ignore.

I think ignoring glitches is part of the problem..

I agree that minimizing the impact of the problem or having a user work-around will encourage a lower priority being given to a fix.  And with a fixed or a limited amount of resources a fix might never get done.  Which brings up bigger issues...

Who the hell authorized spending limited resources on this "enhancement" in the first place?  And secondly, why didn't the Devs or QA find and fix this bug before it was released?

That's the $64,000 question that I just can't figure Andy.  To release a 'product' without insuring it's totally functionable just doesn't make sense.

It appears that in WGT land the customer is also quality control.  They just throw new features at us and wait for us to find out what's wrong with them.

Maybe this saves them some money in the short term by not having paid testers but it sure as hell can't be the best way to go about it.

Just look at the leader board of any Pro tourney any week and you will see some players with WD beside their name. Meaning they withdrew aka they quit. Some of those might have been from an injury but most knew they wouldn't make the cut and just didn't finish their round.

as for the pop up I agree with the ones that said that there was probably a 4th player that quit early and the game still was counting his score from earlier even though it doesn't count at the end,

A player can withdraw for any reason prior to the 24 hour deadline without penalty

Competitors who withdraw during a tournament round must, eventually, provide a valid medical excuse.

Granted, they can make up injuries to withdraw...
