Do you ever see pro's walking off to the club house on the 6th hole because they didn't like their score?

    Saw Rory do it once

Really? You saw Rory do it... once.. Was it an injury? ... was he fined?

Look I'm not trying to say we should be held to same rules as pros. I do however think when someone starts a round they should see it through to the finish, and all this pop up does is encourage quitting. It's not needed.

If memory serves me right, Rory walked off during a round after he was about 7 over for 9 holes. He later claimed it was due to ear or tooth ache. I've never quit a game when playing with someone as it's not right, but I withdraw from RG's all the time, as there's no point finishing when you are 3 over and to earn a few credits you have to be about 6 under.

I remember that John Daly once hit all his balls into a lake in Austria just to get DQed...

Here, it's o.k. for me to WD any solo game as this only affects you. Alas, multiplayers are social games so you better be social and finish unless there are really severe reasons in the game or in RL! "The boss is coming" is no reason to me - those shouldn't have started in the first place!

I don't like quitters. I've had plenty of bad games and I press on. Why?

You don't learn anything when you quit and it's totally rude to abandon players in a game just because you got an attitude.

They're superfluous.  (I was looking for a chance to use that word)
