Help me out here, please someone.....I've hit a total of 2,475 ranked games and my average is 58.98. I was under the impression that getting under 59 would push me into the Champion tier....I could have sworn I have already hit the required 500 games as a TL....maybe I'm wrong about that.....am I missing something here?

    Par3s and 5s don't count toward that 500.

You need to hit 200 since they new tiers were introduced with 59 avg afaik.

Ok, thanks for both answers but....

I rarely hit the par 5's and par 3's....so I'm not counting them

    and

are you saying that I need to hit 200 ranked games since the introduction of the new tiers? Because I know I'm well over that right now.

Oh well, no matter.....I guess I just have to wait until WGT waves it's magic wand and transforms me into a Champion.

    Thanks

    Don't worry about champion tier

Continue to play from red tee, you will be champion so quickly (only a rank without any importance)

You need to have an average of 58 or better and 500 games after they introduce the Champion Tier.

I am glad to hear from you Sean since I have heard of that earthquake.

    Sorry, both is definitively wrong.

Some TLs tiered up with averages above your number, so 59.000 is the most likely threshold. 200 "extra" rounds have been explicitly named by Icon.

59.000 is also quite logical, compared to the 61.00 => Legend and 60.000 => TL.

The complete rounds number necessary for new TLs hasn't been discussed much, but reliable sources stated "200" as well.

Common conception appears to be max. 59.000 average plus 200 valid rounds from the introduction, whether players were TLs then or not.

A "special gift": Saturated TLs were robbed of their 300 best rounds when C and TC became public, causing their averages to jump up. Unsaturated TLs: dunno.

    Unsaturated TLs: dunno.

Unsaturated TLs with more than 200 RRs were "robbed" of their best RRs leaving their 200 worst rounds. Then they were automatically saturated at 200 RRs - and required to play a further 200 RRs and meet the 59.000 qualification average.

I had 430 RRs - so I lost my 230 best RRs leaving all the horrible rounds in my remaining 200. It was actually heartbreaking at the time -- seeing my 48s and 50s go, while RRs in the 70s and even 80s scored in TIO were left in my 200 RRs. This is why many unsaturated TLs had massive jumps when the 2 new tiers were added. Mine went up by 5.

    Thanks for adding that information!

I was very close to saturation at the time. Believe it or not, WGT dropped my 190 or so WORST scores, so my average dropped like a stone. Timing.
