I just recently joined WGT & really love the site. I'm Pro Level 26 now & I love to play Pebble Beach. I noticed that now when I start a game it's in the 'difficult mode'. Is there anyway I play the course in 'moderate mode'? When I was a Hack & an Amateur I was playing against all kinds of opponents [legends, Tour Pros etc] with averages ranging from 65 to 90. How were they able to access the Moderate difficulty courses while I am not as good but can't? Is what I'm saying understandable. Thanks for your time!

    hi & welcome

we dont have such modes per say. players are ranked based on average and other metrics and played in appropriate tiers. as you get more practice and your scores go down, you will advance in tiers and get tougher conditions :)

When you were a hack , you got the slowest greens, and the shortest tees.

As you get better the greens get faster, and the courses longer.

Not sure how you played legends with easier conditions, unless you played in practice mode.

The fun part of this game is that it does becomes harder the more you get better.

p.s What do you mean by difficult mode ?

    Keep having fun.

You can access every course here, there are no restrictions. If you want to learn a course you can set up your own practice conditions that will include mulligans. Practice scores do not affect your average and are not recorded.

The courses all have difficulty ratings but these are nothing more than descriptions given by WGT and never change..

We all play the conditions (green speed and tee) that our tiers give us, or in multi-player games we get the conditions of the highest tiered player in that game.

Thank you once more, Scott: You surprise Icon and me!

I haven't played much practice and I never noticed these changes in difficulty!

Well spin my nipple nuts and send me to Alaska!

I always thought the difficulty rating was for the course in general and didn't change when you altered the conditions.

Guess who also never plays practice mode?

Cheers guys, I was fairly certain that the difficulty rating wasn't set in stone, but I wasn't sure how it was changed, so I just had a mess about and bingo!  : )
