So a fellow player during a game who was a lvl88 master tipped to me to use shot pal. after purchasing this, I am in game and just see a bunch of lines on my shot power. how exactly is this supposed to help me, or how do I read it. Please help ASAP.

They are just markers to show you how much power you have selected...

...but you won't see these percentage marks. I have just added them to this image to make things a little clearer.

Join a Country Club and you will get shot pal and putter pal for free.

Think in terms of how much power you use when you have 140 yard shot and are using a club that gives you 155 yards when hit full. Do you divide 140 by 155 to get a percentage and then swing? The shot pal and the putter pal simply give you more lines to use to adjust the power you want to use. As mentioned these pals are benefits that CC's over level 5 have for their members for free.

And do remember, the % is NOT a linear progression

As illustration, let's say you have a 300yd driver (just using that for ease of number)

If you hit it at 90% don't expect it to travel 270yd - it will fly less than that

That said, according to a previous post I recall, a mod did say that the putter would be THE MOST linear (10ft would = 10ft on standard green I think - but don'the quote me lol)

From what I remember and a little experience

    Hit'em straight

Edit - thanks bubbs, thought it was something like that :))

10 foot after slope calcs would be 10 foot on fast. Hit harder than that if standard.  Around 10 % add on with standard.
