The game is great in most ways but there is room for improvements. I though we could list things that is not really bugs, not really affecting the game play, but are still annoying.

    Top of my list comes:

    1.  The aim marker is more often than not under a camera

This means that you must first move your marker out of the way with your player perspective before you can aim your drive on the overview map.

For some reason this only applies in multiplay, when you play single the marker is above the camera

    2. If your ball stops close to a camera it is impossible to do a "mouseover" to check your distance to the pin while your are waiting for your turn because the camera icon "grows" as soon as you come close to it and overshadows your ball.

    3. Cameras that are below the player, or behind a tree or something, while you are making your flop, chip, pitch onto the green.

    4. That the game exits automatically after the last shot in multiplay.

It should be easy to simply run the game end sequence but stop at the course, leaving the chat, score card and all other things open so that you can congratulate, make friends, agree on a re-match the next day or whatever. Just add a "Leave Course" button.

    5. The lake at Kiawah 17.
It must be so filled with balls now that you can walk over it by now? (Yes, this point is a joke)

    Then some bigger annoyments:

    A. No possibility to save replays in multi mode.

To avoid slowing the game down, there could be a simple "Quick Save Replay" button, that saves the replay in a [dateTime_course_hole_shot] format. Just skip the replay viewing and stuff that you have in Single play

    What annoys you the most?

I suggest we leave the meter and various other often discussed bugs out of this thread and concentrate design decisions  WGT have made that we think could have been done different. .

What really annoys me is missing a 5/ft. putt on the high side.  LOL!!!!

Turn the Camera Option off and it won't bother you.

Excellent post - many of these are points I had thought of bringing up in the past but never have

    Tightrope:
    1.  The aim marker is more often than not under a camera

My number one bug on the game - yes, even more than the meter! (Though you're lucky, as for me it doesn't just happen in multi play)

    Tightrope:
    2. If your ball stops close to a camera it is impossible to do a "mouseover" to check your distance to the pin

Also another big (little) issue - if playing A/S and miss your partners shot, it'd be nice to be able to see where they left you, rather than having a surprise.

    Tightrope:
    3. Cameras that are below the player, or behind a tree or something, while you are making your flop, chip, pitch onto the green.

Would like to have, though there's always different angles

    Tightrope:
    4. That the game exits automatically after the last shot in multiplay.

Definitely a good point - especially if someone concedes the last putt - sometimes I don't even get to say "gg" never mind anything else!

Excellent idea to start this thread Tightrope!

I posted these annoyances and ways to speed up play last July in this thread.

    • If a player times out in MP, don't make us start our shot settings all over again!  I've got to reselect the shot, the club, the aim, the ball spin.
    • Give us more info on the mini-map pop-up like this:
Allowing us to do more work on my next shot while waiting for another player to take their shot.
    • Give us the ability to switch to view our putt(but not hit it), complete with grid and ability to aim, while our playing partner/ opponent is putting.  IRL, I can begin lining up my putt while my playing partners line up and putt theirs.  This also applies to fairway and tee shots.
    • Give us the option to go to the next tee and not see the scorecard. I don't need to see my scorecard and click Continue between every hole.
    • Give us a restart button on the scorecard page.  If I must see the scorecard between holes, and I'm in an unlimited play tournament or CTTH game.
    • Give us a restart on the pull down menu in unlimited play stroke play tournaments so we don't need to go thru the whole game selection menu (via the End Round/Main Menu option)
    • Give us the options to tell my caddy which wedge I'd like first, which shot (chip, pitch, flop) I'd like first, and which putting scale I'd like first.  He never seems to get it right, even though I've told him a thousand times, don't give me PW / Chip all the time! LOL
    •  It would help us more quickly calculate our 2nd shots, particularly par 5 lay-ups if the aiming box included distance to the pin as well as distance to the aiming marker.  Like this on BPB #4
    • Allow fine adjustments to our aim using the keyboard arrows.  That would allow us to better use the mini map or normal view for aiming and avoid the whoops, that 78yd shot on the aimer just became 427yds.

My biggest annoyance is when you have say 25 mph tailwind and you use a 85 yard wedge, only for it to come up 82 yards and not 90+ as it should??? or a 130 yard iron going 128 yards in 26 mph headwind?

And another that's up there is when you have say a short putt, the green indicates a right to left slope, you adjust putt accordingly but ball goes as straight as an arrow!  If the green is FLAT please don't give us moving dots!!!

And wind affecting a punch shot sometimes, then other times not at all.

On some holes when you try and aim your shot, the flagstick is not visible!  You have to guess where it is from past experience.

Friend activity effecting your meter.  Please give us an option to turn off friend activity during a round.  Might reduce skips by half!

Lastly if game freezes during matchplay, what have you to do to get game going again?  You must close browser and re-load...So please if game freezes a few times during a round and you have to do this, please don't let me loose because i've disconnected 3 times. (Especially if you've reached hole 16 and you loose ball depreciation and daily bonus and have to restart another round!) We can't help it if game freezes or we get disconnected.

Yes! After all, short timer is supposed to speed up the game, not slow it down

Yes again! Waiting passive is boring and this would make everyone play faster and more concentrated

I remember searching for an  option to turn that off and was surprised there was none

That damn caddy, so often he has given me a chip when I expect a full shot. I just click away and instead of seeing the ball fly high in the air up to the pin it bounces and stops a yard from where it started.

Allow fine adjustments to our aim using the keyboard arrows.  That would allow us to better use the mini map or normal view for aiming and avoid the whoops, that 78yd shot on the aimer just became 427yds.

YES! Specially on a slow PC, then you would not need to change the camera just to set the marker properly

I get a similar f@k up when the damn caddy gives you a pitch short first, then when i change from pitch to full swing (I know exactly how many yards is what with my 50 yard wedge on the meter) so when i go for the usual up in the air and land within 2 foot of hole, the shot is more like a pitch shot it goes up a bit then rolls a long way (always too short though from pin) so i think caddy is confused, it still plays you a pitch shot rather than full swing.  I mentioned this and WGTIcon reckoned it was due to not being over halfway on the meter.  But it IS OVER HALFWAY, 30 yards is well over(more 3/4), even if your under halfway you can do the same full swing shot it goes up and down and doesn't roll more than 2 yards. its just what happens if you've been offered pitch shot first and change to full swing.

Also try this, play a round i.e Kiwah 1, drive with Callaway balls, then quit game, change to a Gi2'S ball the ones with 1 dot spin, play hole no 1 at Kiwah again, but your drive should go the same distance as your Callway balls did.  Some sort of glitch, noticed it a few times whilst having to re-start a unlimited tourney due to missing birdie lol!
