    Hi there,

i am @lvl 54 now and i´ve been browsing the forums and used google to see which driver i could buy to improve my play. i´ve read a lot about Ping G20 driver @ lvl 58+ but i am unable to find it in pro shop. All I see is a Ping G25 driver. Is the G25 a replacement for the G20?

should i maybe consider purchasing the Taylor Made R1 instead?

    thank you in advance

As far as I recall, the stats for the G20 driver were the same as the current G25 driver, the only change was a price increase (and of course it's visually different).

I've never used the R1, but from what I've heard, you wouldn't be disappointed.  : )

Absolutely! I had a version of that driver, and it's fantastic. Buy it. I guarantee that you'll love it.

Without a doubt. Look at the forgiveness. It makes it hard to miss the fairway.  :-)

    Thank you so much, gentlemen.

So the R1 it will be. I was aware of the stats, however I was a bit uncertain as (my opinion) the pricing is relatively high.... thats why i wanted to double check to be sure i won´t regret that purchase in about 10 lvl or so...

    again, thanks!

I used the driver until I got to level 83, so it served me well. But you're right, it is pricey.

This is a Med/High driver so use spin with it off the tee. Back spin gets it up in the air for more carry and top spin gets it on the ground quicker for more roll.

This is a fun driver to use on the links courses-SA, RSG and CBay-because there are a lot of mounds where top spin off of them trampolines the ball for some serious yardage. And because it forgives so nice, you can purposely aim against a wind and miss with it to "ride" the wind for good distance.  Good move getting it.  :-)

I believe it's the TM M1 driver??? great bat, about impossible to miss a fairway with it!  It's big brother at I believe L74 just as easy, but longer. Don't forget to look at the L59 ping irons when you get there, these are must have Imo, I rode them all the way to the L83 nike's.

Great choice. I used that level R1 for a long time. It's a great, reliable club. Worth every penny.
