After playing round after round at st andrews with high wind, i've noticed say i was on hole 1, i have 25 mph headwind, i'm 120 yards to pin, if i choose my 9iron (130 yards), instead of club travelling 120 ish yards like usuall, it travells 128 yards.  But when ball lands, the camera angle shows it is a side wind, although i'm pretty paralel to previous shot.

I know i mentioned before with the caddy thing, but on numerous holes this has happened, i.e, shot coming up short or overhit, but either way, after calculating the yardage lost or gained, it usually works out closer to the finished shot camera's wind and not the wind you where initially working your shot out with. Like on approach i have a tailwind, so i calculate shot accordingly like 25 mph tailwind with 82 yards to pin, usually the 75 yard wedge is sufficent, but on landing my wedge has only travelled 75 yards, but i notice the final camera shot has a n/w wind and not a tailwind like first camera angle.

And sometimes i adjust for sidewind and they affect the ball, other times they don't.

Have i added 1 + 1 and come up with 3, or is it just basic shot "deviation"??? Or is heavy wind is ment to be unpredictable however well you know your clubs yardage and aiming for wind, and VEM doubles/triples during game with this wind?

I also have this same issue. I calculate according to wind speed and direction, elevation etc and use the appropriate club and distance. Now I hit the ball exactly where I want it on the meter and it flies 5 to 8 yards too far on almost every shot. So, I compensate and use less power according to the overhit distance and come up 5 to 8 yards short. Why is there so much inconsistency in making shots? This is hurting my game tremendously and I spend enough on balls and such and have spent a lot in clubs. I am tired of not being able to shoot consistently. Can someone please help???
