If you take a mulligan in practice mode to work on putting, the game only shows vertical dots. How are we to practice this way? There's no practice green, and WGT's have advised using the mulligan to practice. What good is it if dots aren't shown both ways?

    LOL Good point.

I thought you were yanking my chain...so tried it - sure enough, absolutely no read on the dots.

So a pointless exercise from out POV, but WGT are making money off this via increased ball use - quite shameful.....again.

Now if I had a dollar for every screw up by the programmers......

I just did a one hole practice putting on St Andrews and when I clicked the mulligan button, the dots were still working. Could it be that the dots don't work on some courses, but do on others?

I have also found that for me at least, the free ball putts the same in practice as a pay-for ball. So I don't use up the hits on the balls I purchase.

Dunno about the dots in mulligan mode, but...

    True.

Irrelevant. Putts from the greens do not use up ball life in any situation, except in CTTH games.

Actually it happens on all of the courses you just got lucky thats all .All balls putt the same no matter whether free or paid for . The putting grids have been locking up during practice mode for months now .

I have sent in over 8 bug reports in the past about this and nothing has been fixed .WGT doesnt care about fixing anything their focus is on getting you to spend more money .

Perhaps for you but not for me.

    Two examples:

    1)  I use many different WGT balls.  A 'D' ball (b-xd, Gi-D, etc) requires 10% less power than a WGT Legend ball to travel the same distance usually, and

    2)  A Nike RZN requires almost 25% less power to putt uphill than a WGT Legend ball (on champ greens, anyway....&, as a result, I can't putt worth crap w/ the Nike's, lol).

Just my experience, but, as in everything WGT, your results may vary.  Try it & see for yourself.

Not quite true - as per FAQ

Is there a cost to use a mulligan?

If you use a mulligan during a Practice game, the ball you are using will be degraded by two hits instead of one hit. Mulligan putts will also degrade your ball by two hits.

So the best policy is use a starters ball, even for putting and if you miss the ding....just try again.

It also could be a browser issue. It works correctly on some browsers but doesn't work correctly on others.
