I noticed that WGT is no longer sponsoring premium prizes for premium tournaments.  Wgt used to have a golfsmith.com gift card of $150.00 for first place in the Master Tier premium monthly tourny.   Now they are only offering 15,000 WGT credits for first.   I wouldn't have a problem with this except that on a dollar for dollar basis, to buy the same gift card  from their elite collection I would have to win about 99,000 WGT credits (6.60 monthly wins).  To top it off, WGT doesn't sell a $150.00 Golf Smith card so I would have to acquire 165,000 credits (11 monthly wins) for a $250.00 card.

Wgt has effectively reduced the payout of these premium tournaments 85% and how much have they reduced the entrance fee, ... zero!!!  If WGT had made the switch to their credits but retained the pure value of winning (say 99,000 credits vs. 15,000) I wouldn't be writing.  I had always loved and tried to played this tournament exclusively.  Sometimes I won and sometimes not, but I had fun.  It was a great feeling to that prize in the mail,  Wgt credits and their conversion rate (Elite Collection) is atrocious.

It seems like they change the prizes each month now.
