WGTicon:
This game is getting very boring for me now.
I've started 5 games today and due to a combination of meter stutters and shots going completely awry**, haven't finished one yet...
** Two examples, a punched 3 wood on STA 5 went less than 160 yards with a tailwind, a full shot with 45 yards of power on STA 1 landed in the burn 31 yards away
I've lost 4 balls this morning and I've only actually played about 20 holes.
If it's the St Andrews free tournament your playing, i'm with you 100%...Either "deviation"comes more into play on heavy wind, or the game is very inconsistant. But i've noticed after a day constant playing there, if there is say a right left wind of 25, and you use your 105 yard wedge, pin is 98 yards away, usually this wedge would do, but then the club comes up 15 yards short 90 yards, but when you look at the final camera angle, the wind is south westerly and not the usual westerly as shown from approach. When coming up long, or short i've calculated my shot again with the FINAL camera angle's wind and it always works out exact distance. (If its a different direction to the initial one i tried to calculate shot on approach).
See for yourself next time a shot comes up short or long, see if the final camera angle's wind is different, i.e you,ve worked out shot for a tailwind, but when ball lands, the wind is actualy shown as ne, so obviously ball won't go as far...
Maybe i'm off the mark completely, its only obvservations i've made after a day of playing St Andrews in heavy wind
