To start with I will say I am a computer novice so the following 2 things I need help with will probably seem trivial to you IT experts out there.

So any help you can give me needs to be very simple for me to follow. Just to indicate how poor my PC skills are I have tried numerous google searches to try and help but could not make sense of any of them.

Firstly I am trying to import graphics(pictures of golf trophies) onto players walls for example when they achieve a hole in one. I have copied graphics to MY PICTURES on my PC and also then copied them into a word document. My question is why when I go to a players wall and try copy the paste either direct from MY PICTURES or from the word document it does not work. What am I doing wrong is it the size or format PDF etc of the graphic???.

My second problem I just do not understand at all; what I am trying to do is crate a link from a post I am going to put in our club forum; I then want to link this post to every player's wall. Ijust cannot find out how to do it can anyone help. Will it be easier if i create the forum post first??.

I thank any of you for any help you can give me it seems that as a club owner my very poor IT skills are holding me back from running my club for the members with their help as I would like to.

You're correct, CE: The pic has to be online to be used here. There are some hosting sites, mine is postimg.org. Copy the URL from the "direct link" option, paste it into the "Insert Media" menu (green movie icon above the edit field) and limit the width to 450 for forum posts. You may also follow the "how to post a scorecard" advice on top of the "Help" forum.

A random snapshot of mine from NOLA, 250 wide:

To link to a post, you must first create&save the post, then grab the URL to your copy buffer,  next highlight a text where you want to put it so that you can use the "Insert Link" icon in the posting menu. Use the option "Target: New window" preferably.

This is a link to CE's post.

In addition to Alosso's post, let's address the picture problem first. You need to upload your picture/s to an image hosting website first, TinyPic is an example of such a site and there is no need to create an account with them before uploading.

Thanks for all your help so far much appreciated.

On the graphics side for a computer idiot like me I found Ceverett12,s reply most helpful all you need to do is find the graphic you want from Bing images copy and the paste it into the members wall so easy even I can do it no need for an image hosting site.

Still having problems with the link though will keep trying ;again many thanks and I now know where to come if I need any IT help.

Sometimes I use google's image search for public pics, but you were talking of pics from your computer. Mind you that the above "random" pic is my own photograph...

    For links, remember the sequence:

    - (produce and) obtain the link URL to your paste buffer,

    - write a text where the link should be placed,

    - highlight the text and use the "Insert link" tab in the edit options.
