I don't get it!!!

  Just finished playing an 18 hole ranked round at Congressional (not a tournament) and shot a 70.  Before I started I noticed my average score was 63.32!  I then noticed after shooting that 70 my average score dropped to 61.50!  That makes no sense to me as I have almost 200 ranked rounds played and have never shot any 18 hole score lower than 62.  How can my average be 61.5?  I have got a couple 29's and a 30 in a 9 hole event.

  Not complaining just wondering how my average could be 61.5 when I've never, ever, shot a score that low.

  Oh, and by the way, this is a great site and love playing this game here.  I'm old, my knees are shot and can barely get out and about on the courses here anymore!

  Looking at your profile, I'd say it's a glitch. It's showing you won the same Ready Go several times. Winning RGs will lower your average, but it's doubtful you won the same event more than once.

  Your going to be a legend soon ,  There will be many factors in play as to why your average went down . Get ready for the parking lot tee box  ..........good luck sir

  It happens when the leaderboard becomes official and the credits are payed. The latter causes the drop. The 70 will have had a rising effect.

  Unexplicable drops will happen without credit influence soon, when your average "saturates" after reaching 50 ranked TM(!) rounds. Then, those 76, 73 and other high scores will drop out of the calcs, if you can hold the tier so long.

  At 61.000 you'll become a Legend.

  If you have those in 9 hole events they get doubled (30=60) and go towards your average 

  That is probably where your drops are coming from
