I've monitored the last 2 Clash weeks.   Georgian is averaging 10,000 point per 4 hour round.   Sorry but unless they're an entire team made up of a senior center were they're all just playing WGT 24 hours a day, then they are getting help from WGT.   My belief is that every member is getting unlimited SP's and even with that it is still hard to imagine them getting 10,000 points every round.  I'm willing to listen to any legitimate reason someone else might have.

while i agree that making wild speculations and baseless accusations is easier and  more entertaining than actually looking into facts. the facts are there for all to see if they look. in the last clash, i averaged 80 points per round and i can get in 10 to 12 rounds per clash.  so really it only would take 12-13 players at that rate to reach 10,000.  trust me wgt plays no favorites, they rip us off just like everyone else.

Slacking I call it, only 41 clash rounds that day.  If it'd been 43 they could've won by a tiny bit more :-)

sImpleton you sure as hell live up to your name....the Georgians win because they support each other ..the accusation of any cheating is about as stupid as you are...we are top because of our dedication and pride ...and i personaly object to being called a cheat but sour grapes are sour grapes

With the way WGT has it set up, we have no choice but to give credit to the Georgian club! They have showed dedication by most of their members in not only playing in these but buying and supplying the passes so they can play.

Until there is a change in the rules then all the other clubs will be chasing them, but, in my opinion, these clashes is not  what grades how good a country club is. That is left to the opinions of everyone that plays here!

I tip my hat to the Georgian for spending the money, and to their members that take their time to maintain that top position!

Just curious, did any other clubs NOT get the BOP5 in their clash rotation? I see all these other clubs with a ton of Par 5 rounds which is a birdie and eagle heaven, we only got Oakmont and Pinehurst, with just a couple Kia's. Not very fair.

And because you outbid the rest in the Clash auction. Cause that's what clashes are. With the slight difference, that the rest of the bidders still need to pay their bids ;-)

Nothing wrong with that, if that's your cup of tea.

Well, I've always said that 30 quality players, with time on their hands, would win this hands down. 10 players playing in rotation every 3rd clash for 4 hours straight, spending around 3500 credits each (105k team total).

But why on earth would anyone even want to do that ;-)

I wrote in another thread that clashes are a perfect "competition" for all players, who have no hope of winning an actual skill based competition. Cause here they can pull together (not without a cost, of course) and feel like winners. It's in human nature to try to be good at something. That's why CCs engage in the "weekly XP race" (which is nothing but a meaningless stat from a competition standpoint), clashes (auction) and that's why titles like "The world's biggest frying pan" exist ;-)

Every person with a working brain agrees with you.

Agreed, like I said, clashes, while pointless in most aspects, serve their purpose and one can only admire their dedication...

if you mean how good the players in the club are individually i agree. but the clashes are pretty good measuring stick of how active a club is, and/or the teamwork of the members.

before i joined the georgian the club i was in wasn't very active. there were not many tourneys, not much in the forums, i didn't even know anyone else in the club except the owner that invited me to join. so after we had a clash against the georgian and i saw how many people were playing for them i thought "now there's an active club". so i jumped ship and went over there. best decision ever. i've made tons of new friends, there's always a tourney or in house match play competition going on. there's lots of activity in the forums, so if you're broke and  bored waiting for a RG to pay out so you can buy some balls you even have something to read! lol so yeah i think the clashes are a good indicator of how good a club is in that sense for sure.

Maybe a good measuring stick of how active a club is within that competition.  There are plenty of active and organised CCs out there that advise their members not to waste balls on a competition they have no hope of winning.
