    Hi,

You were hitting a chip from 40/50 rough. Sounds like it played fine, since chip is not a shot to hit from that spot. Pitch is the proper play, maybe a flop if you practiced it, but definitely not a chip.

It's like your club got eaten up in the high rough and shot went nowhere

Pitch pitch 10-11 from there and see if that helps

Yea that 40/50% rough has cost us all many shots. Flop is good but as WGTicon says you got to practice that shot a lot.   GOOD LUCK!!!!!

The reason I said to practice the flop shop from 40./50 rough is because plays often different than usual. You have to know how it acts when lands, how much distance to add, and compensate for wind, etc. It's a bit more complex shot but often can/will save you shots.

A big key to the flop is to not stop at the ding line. If you notice when you hit the ding line the ball lands to the right of your target. To make the ball go straight at your target stop on the line to the left of the ding line. I call these the outer marker lines. GL

to wgt staff , >>i would like to put a complaint in about a fellow golfer, his name is xxxxxxxxxxxxx,    we played a matchplay challenge, i was 3 up after 5 holes, he then decided to abuse me, and call for a shot clock, he then said your going to wait for your credits now, and proceeded to hit shots back n forth using up all the time alloted, then kept disconnecting and making me wait that initial 5 mins to log back, he did this  4 times, not the kind of player we all need to be here, and im sure i wont be the last one he does it too, ty wgt, i hope action is taken, yours sincearly   greatwhitedale.

I just read about this a few days ago, and have been using the same method with excellent resuts.
