only thing i can think of you cant get above your level to rent clubs
Several free weekends ago I think they had it where you can try out & buy equipment above your level. I could be wrong, as my wife points out all the time, maybe somebody else can remember that.

I have a feeling your wife may be right. I can't recall a free rental weekend ever allowing you to rent or buy gear above your level.

I'm sure there was like maybe 5 levels higher. Maybe a mod can chime in on this. But it would be a way to get more $$ now.

You might be thinking of the past special where the 98 R1 driver was made available at level 93 for a short while.
Beats me anymore. Heat & humidity is getting to me now.
