I am just another old guy having fun on fixed income Soc. Sec. Disability from heart attack and kidney cancer. Doing fairly well health wise. Through a lot of work I have recently got to Legend and now I see what they were talking about teeing it up in the parking lot. Can't afford to get really good golf balls or upgrade to a longer driver than the Rocketball I have, avg. 275, using WGT XD or Tour balls, once in a while I will get some Srixon. Anyway Merry Christmas in July!       Dennis

Leggoman has been a very generous Santa this year, and, I think it would be very cool if WGT would gift him something he would like.

    I disagree.

    Howzit

    I disagree.

While I agree that Leggoman has been very generous, all of us Santa's have been giving what we can afford to gift.

Stepping up is the important thing. We each give according to our abilities and to single any one out is disrespectful to the others who have given as much as they can afford.

This is not a contest to see who can give the most. I stated at the beginning, that I was prepared to gift a sleeve of balls, a wedge, and a putter.

    I have now gifted that.

Am I to be held in less regard than him? Are any of the MANY gifters to be held in less regard?

You need to rephrase your post.

    Cheers,

    Peter

I understand both sides here  ,,  Some have more to give as gifts , Some can only gift a little ,  And others can only put the time in .  Every one of the Santa,s ( and the list is long this event ) did a good thing .

The Idea that without asking a month ago for Santa,s to get ready for this event , But to just start it and watch who would join in was my Christmas wish .

And my wish came true with many old friends and many new friends .

    Thank you All

    OPY

Drmoose and Mrcaddie thank you for your kind words.

Peter and Opy, I agree with you both, well said and I could not have said it any better...

Peter, I don't agree on that one, ''single any one out is disrespectful''. I am sure MC and Doc did not post it to be disrespectful. not their style.

I am greatfull and feel privilege to have the opportunity to contribute in this year event.

Because 1 1/2 yeear ago, I was going through some ruff time, and got blessed by generoity and kindness

    small or big

    one or several

The collective gifting makes a huge and positive impact on wgt community and is a great way to meet new players, and see veterans show up.

I, for one and for most, do not feel I should be recognise above or below anyone else.

I prefer stand on equal ground as every other gifters. And did not do it  to receive something in return. simply paying it forward. because I want to, not because I have to.

thank you to all the gifters in this event and the silent gifters will never know about.

    ========================

beside where else could you see twins running similar event in Christmas in July and the 12 days of Christmas,

p.s. would a list of gifters (santas), similar to the gifted ones, be a good idea? in a way that all gifters be recognised equally...

    cheers

I have no doubt that MC and Doc did not mean to be disrespectful by stating their opinions.

However, I stand by my post that to single any Santa out would in fact be disrespectful to the others that gave what they could.

Just like you, I have also been the recipient of random generosity, hence my eagerness to "pay it forward".

I'm privileged to have been a part of this and I'd like to thank Opy for putting this together. We've got a few days left and I'm happy to put up a few more sleeves of balls.

    Cheers,

    Peter

    Peter,

It was certainly never my intent to infer that any of the other Santas were to be held in any less regard. As you said, this was in no way a competition. I simply made an observation, and voiced my opinion. There was no intent to quantify any amount of generosity, that's not how this works. I think you may have misinterpreted my post, or at least the reasoning behind it. Exemplary behavior has been exhibited by all who gifted without thought of any return.

Being that what I posted , was simply what I was thinking, to advise me that I need to rephrase / rethink the matter, is one I'll just let go.

Edit : Don't know why, but this just came to mind.
