The pros only get one shot to post their score and so should we.  Also need daily tournaments too.

I do prefere single play too.

Well, everybody has his/her own preferences (is that an english word?). If one would like to play unlimiteds, ok, he/she might do it. But I would like it if the big tourneys would be only single rounds and not 26 days unlimited and then 4 days a single round after it. I do understand that wgt needs to earn money with balls ( I didn`t use the word greed here, har har), but I dont like ball-mill-tournaments and so I will not play any of those major-tourneys or however they are called here.

Is that a problem for me? No, not at all, biggest fun is to play some rounds with my friends. Alts or strokes, all single plays. I dont wanna win prices, i wanna have fun. Thats why I am still here and playing golf on wgt.

I have zero experience with real golf so I happen to enjoy the unlimited tournaments and easy lies (vs uneven lies) and like to climb a tournament ladder by constructing a round with one failure after another.  So I "practice" on the first couple of holes in a tourney and (OMG) quit/restart till I can get birdies on 1st couple of holes then move on to the point of a decent 9 or 18 hole round. "Cheating" if you will... from a golf purist point of view. Not really golf but fun for me and others who like the same kind of competition.

So we can all choose our niche and what we consider fun, whether it's strictly country clubs, tournaments, match play, single/unlimited,  unenen lies, CCTH, unranked rounds or a mix or whatever.  I'm guessing the game (or WGT business plan) tries to cater to as broad a clientele as possible.  They will probably find new non-traditional variations to play the game, as well as finding new ways to make it more realistic... rather than restrict it to one camp (popular, easy) or the other (realistic simulation).

I guess this is a roundabout way of saying that my "beef" with you is:  By all means join single play matches, tourneys and rounds with plenty of like-minded individuals and enjoy!  But... there's no need to impose your philosophy on others who don't share your point of view.

I believe the OP may be a mobile player and referring to the games available on that platform and setup.  There's more single play for the pc version players, enough for me anyway.
