  Not yet.

  They are not "Retarded", as they help the newer players.

  Simply play the first hole and they shut off... until you clear your cache, then you simply have to play the first hole again.  It's really not that big of a deal to ignore it.

  Should it really bother you, simply move your window off to the left a bit so that small white box doesn't bother you so much.
