I spotted another claiming it was Bugs and Speedy Gonzales! I can't remember the characters real name but I've got Teo Pepé* stuck in my head, I know it's not that but I might be close(ish).
You're correct Paul, definitely not bugs bunny as we know him, although they are bugs and speedy lookalikes. Not sure who created this. I'm guessing it's a possible Aardman produced animation as they did stop-motion for the BBC.
I remember watching it when it was on Blue Peter and then searching the internet for it a few years ago. Datewise, if wikipedia is correct, it was on Blue Peter between 1980 and 1983 as that's Sarah Greene presenting. Stop motion with comedy at its finest..."I come through the window" does it for me every time. lol
