I would say, patience and caution is in order right now ladies and gents and i try to explain why....

Truth is after Jim's post with WGT's response, remained stoned, speechless and with my mouth wide open. In a few words, the reason that a top player has been removed was based upon to a mere speculation and to a high percentage of ding shots? Are we serious? If so, what's the point to practice every day to be better players? If so, what's the point to admire and trying to imitate the ability of top top players who hit the ding so often?

    Total confusion and delusion...

On the other hand, it was not just one player that has been removed, so we can't say with certainty that every case corresponds to mr. Q's. As we say here in Greece, WGT holds the melon as well as the knife, so can make any decision to it's liking...ok. Come on though guys, at least a bit of transparency  in the procedures is pertinent when some customers are being removing. Not only for them, but for the rest of the people as well.

I love this game and i am hooked to it for about 2 years. Don't care much about the idiots who call me cheat or sandbagger, cause they understand a $hiT of this game. But WGT?

Please WGT, i appeal to your good sense...give a straight answer to this. Is it legit for a player to try to hit ding as much he/she cans? Is it licit to grow up this ability in order to have more dings or not?

My son got into worlds top 100 playing FIFA from EA sports.

He was invited to a pre tournament in London, but for reasons private to us, he could not go.

The worlds i think were in the USA so he was gutted, still keeps playing, struggles to get oppos to play him, so is going to give it up..again only plays online as AI is just not good enough oppo.

He knows folks restart with various accounts, and EA jump on this from great height.

But as he did not go to London for this tourny......EA did not accuse him of cheating, just said "its a shame but carry on enjoying our game".

You see, you can just be good at something, and large companies will be fine with that.

I am sorry...Banning a player because of his ding rate only is RIDICULOUS!!!! I am not buying it at all...Had to be something else....WGT had to have something else...And I am sorry, streaming a round makes your meter worse and very hard to hit ding...so you cant judge based on that either....I dont know this player at all,but there must be more to the story and we just dont know....

I agree, Jay.  It's hard to believe he'd be banned for that.

I agree, and yet that's the reason they gave.  Now you see the reason for this thread, and why we're fighting to get him reinstated.

You know - arguments on both sides here are compelling.

I am however having trouble getting my head around an ~80% ding average.   So for example one plays 2 rounds a day for 30 days - score avg of 28 <guess>, thats 1680 shots of which 1344 were dings......thats one hell of a lot of dings man.....stupid crazy good amount of dings.  Esp in single play type games where things get funky weird out of no where - not just shots but meter behavior too.

The other thing I'm mulling is auto dingers like shot master -  at least from what I saw on their website and youtube - is that you choose when the program takes the shot for you. Given that you pay them for each shot (kinda like wgt ball life) why in the hell would you use it off the tee and within 4ft of the cup?  you probably wouldn't and if shot master gives you appox 90% ding rate (as others have mentioned in this thread) you will probably be getting down into the high 70's with your ding rate.

Just and idea as an experiment here - For those of you who think you're a top player (or a ding king) and feel a 79% ding rate is achievable (and are ding players by trade) - just count your dings over the next 20 rounds, add up your scores, do the math an report back.  It would be interesting to map out and track in this thread.

I just have a sense that an 80% ding rate is very very uncommon and could see how that might trip the alarm bells at wgt.  And Im not convinced this is the only criteria they are evaluating. Im sure there are considering other factors in their forensic analysis of ones activity and game play on the site.

    Peace

I have to say, I'm pretty shocked wgt's reason for banning that chap was for a disparity in ding rate over 30 days versus what he displayed via Stream. Honestly, sometimes the meter is so bad it's hard to ding, other days it's very smooth and not too tough to do so. I thought they actually had some kind of security measure to detect 3rd party software that interfere with gameplay, clearly that isn't the case with this guy.

Jeff, I have no dog in this fight either but this very conversation was brought up in my CC. I also see no way that anyone over a 30 day period could reach 80 percent ding rate without help. I am by no way a good player but on a good day, playing 6 or 8 rounds I can not ding 50 percent. Taking into consideration wind and putt purposeful missed dings. I would ask anyone who thinks they ding 80 percent over a  30 day period to try it. Anyway, good hitting. JMHO.
