hi guys just got to level 90 , currently using the level 85 vapours wondering if its worth getting the rsi's or sticking with my nikes, i know the rsi's have a faster meter but slightly better distance and more spin , not sure whether its worth the upgrade as it will take months for me to get upto high 90's to get top irons

I'd suggest renting them and trying them. Yes, the meter is faster but the performance is much better -- particularly stopping on the green with longer irons. I upgraded from the former l85 Nikes (same clubs except for a slightly faster meter). Those were good clubs, but the l90s are a significant upgrade.

If you want to improve your game yes . If you just want a better set of clubs yes . You play with L90 nike ball so meter speed will not be a factor . You will handle the meter just fine .

You will most definitely be awhile before you get to L97+ irons so get them . Sell the other ones back and start building your credit stash for L97+ . By the time you get to L97+ no telling what the clubs will be by then .

I see you already made your decision. I agree that they're better than the old Nike L85 irons. But I found that I couldn't handle the meter with the Callaway ball I was using. So I got the Nike vapors a bit ago. As long as you buy better balls with a slower meter (as someone else posted above), you should be very happy with them.

If you think the Rsi irons are fast then you would have freaked when they were the R11s . They were even  faster before the change . You had to use the L33+ Cally just to have a chance . Either that or the reflexes of a rattle snake . I would play practice rounds with the rock just for fun .3.0 is not fast for a meter at least not to me .

Yeah, I don't have very good eye/hand coordination. Never have. Plus my hands shake a bit. So I need a bit of a slower meter. So I suspect absolutely correct that I wouldn't have done well at all with the previous ones.

Nevertheless, I shot some decent rounds with RSi irons and still have them in my inventory. And I loved the yardages that they're set at. But I could never play some of the irons with any consistency. The club I always had a problem with was the 3 iron. I'll admit that I did a lot better with the Nike L71 ball with those clubs. But right now, I just don't feel like spending that much on golf balls.

On the other hand, I don't exactly shoot lights out with the Vapors either. I've had a couple of good rounds. I shot a 29 the other day on the front 9 of Pinehurst #2. For me, that's a really good score.
