    I think I caught David on his poorest WGT day ever ... it's the only way I can explain the outcome.

    Enjoyed meeting you David .. was a nice game.

    Group E match between Fortesque99 & Cappiest. Cappiest wins 2 & 1.

    Couple of errors by me, and solid playing by Cappiest - the 2 holes he won were with pars, which is quite unusual. And despite the potential (almost a promise !!) for a few metered shots on his behalf, none were forthcoming... lol

    Having lost 2 of my 3 matches, i'm pretty sure that i'm out now, so i'll say thanks to the organisers for the invite, and it was fun with my 3 opponents - i'm so glad i got the games done before the deadline !! lol

    Thx for the match Shane, yes a couple of small errors was the only difference. Enjoyed the match and great company.

    Thx again and hope we can play again  sometime.

    In order to avoid any possible misunderstanding or controversy at the end of Round Robin stage, I remember you all the Ties Rule:

    ***

    HOW TIES ARE HANDLED (after Round Robin stage)

    If two or more players are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings:

    • Two players: head to head match result;
    • Three players: combined match result among the players in questions. If any tie remains, Win/Lose Margin;
    • Four players: Win/Lose Margin.

    Any further three/four players tie situation will be resolved with a playoff 9-holes match play among the player(s) in questions. With the same course conditions as the previous match(es).

    ***

    E.g., the two players criteria has been used for Group H ranking.

    Villadeoro got a better W/L margin than frealzu, but he lost the head-to-head match. Even though players are equal on points, Antonello came first due to that match result.

    And we got some interesting groups situation to be developed. In group A & F there could be a three players tie. So take a look at the rule before start complaining :)

    A week has passed since tournament opening. With Round Robin stage with half of matches played, let's see the situation in the various groups.

    Gr. A: Her Majesty of WGA, PRIESTESS, looked beyond reach after two clear wins. Defeated by Starsandros, she risks to be involved in a problematic combined match result criteria to determine the final ranking.

    The group story will be written after Bidi-Starsandros match, the green-white-red derby between Mannari (Werewolves) and Italians.

    Gr. B: Wating Pluer, the Sleeping Beauty. Who'll be his prince? Antuniccu, mao69 or geordieles?

    Gr. C: first to start, first to finish. All the matches were really close, and at end, TallAce prevailed as leader of the pack. And now, he and James (jimbean346) are waiting for...

    Gr. D: Waiting Jack columbiacgt (not sleeping beauty, this time, but working duties). Monty is on the run. But most of the group story will be written after Jack come back.

    Gr. E: Simovoice had the upper hand in two close matches with Brio and Shane Fortesque. Waiting his match vs cappiest.

    Gr. F: very very complicated situation. If Lou wins over tiaz79, there will be three player with 4 points. And then, the combined match result crtieria will be taken into account. And someone could be very disappointed.

    Gr. G: Waiting mike3226. Vic is on the run, but it's a long way to go.

    Gr. H: Villadeoro lost his match with frealzu, and now he waits to know who'll be his contender in Round of 16.

    If there will be Vic, the fight betweeen the WGA Lord and the sparkling spaniard promise to be one of the most dramatic moment in the elimination bracket round.

    ***

    Just a final note: 32 matches so far, 9 of them finished after extra holes and 7 with 1 UP. We are really happy about this well balanced field of players.

    Briobrio wins match against Cappiest 2&1. Great match Brio.....well played, i made a couple of mistakes and she jumped on them to win the match. One of the nicest people i have had the pleasure of playing against.

    Had a very enjoyable game with Capp, great person and excellent golfer, we both got the old metered hole as will happen, but other than those 2 holes I think it was birdie to win or half, Capp was a real gentleman as my time commitments keep him waiting most of the day (Daskino now I know just how much work you have had putting this excellent Invitational together) in the end a couple of long putts gave me the win or it would have come out different. thx for a great time Capp woo hoo!

    All eyes in our pot will be on the last game Simo vs Capp as it will determine the out come... lol (maybe I should have dropped that 6 footer against Shane for only a one down loss, it may cost me going through, but there ya go all, every putt is important cause you just never know)

    Regards of the outcome, I just wanted to say thank you to Daskino and all in your club who have put on this most excellent competition, as on the wga tour, great times, great golfing, well run and a whole lot of fun... woo hoo!
