    Knock them dead Tessie;

    But, for goodness sakes, play well, find the rough(lol), and have fun as you usually do.

    Thanks for the support Shade and Kurt,,It was the most awesome Final i have EVER played in.I birdie 10 and 11 Ryan narrowly misses both birdie opps from around 9 and 7 feet,I stick my approach to par 5 to 3 feet and think wow i have a nice 2 hole cushion this os going to be easy,BUT Ryan showed just why he is in the final,He EAGLES par 5 from 41 yards,then stiifs par 3 to 2 feet,I respond on par 3 to hit to 6 feet and make putt to hold a 1 hole advantage still,the par 4 14th i stiff approach to 2feet now i am 5 under after 5,Ryan almost holes out he is 4 under now after that eagle,tough 15th we both have make-able birds after 2 nice approaches but both putts graze by,,the par3 16th  we both hit nice tee shots and in fact both have make able putts i have 10 feet Ryan around 14 feet,Maybe the pressure is mounting on us both after the excitement of the previous holes because we both miss the putts,17th and wind is helping ,,Ryan finds 40 50 rough 41 yards out i have a simple chip from 13 yards,,Ryan leaves uphill 9 footer and makes his bird,I over-hit my chip leaves just the putt i didnt want to have at this time in the match a 5,5 foot slider,I make the bird (phew) for the half,.18TH is wind helping, we both hit perfect drives but Ryan hits approach short some 33 feet ,I hit approach to 6 feet,Ryan makes 1 last great attempt to take the match farther but the putt stops 2 feet short,I lag my 6 foot putt because im totally exhausted by the pressure he inflicted upon me,Great Match Ryan,Tess wins 1 up

    The Final.

    And the WGA Tour champ is victorious again.

    A fast start by Tessie with birdies at the first 2 hole, not before my birdie putts slip by the edge on 10 and lip out on 11.

    Then the match got really really good. With the Champ having about  3 foot birdie putt on 12, I hole out from 46yards for an Eagle to pull a hole back.

    Inspired by my hole out, I shoot to 1.7feet on the 13th hoping that would be enough to level the match. Tess shoots into 5 feet above the pin and holes the putt for a birdie.

    Moving onto 14, both drives right down the small alley of fairway. Champ throws a dart from 71 yards into 1.4 feet. Not to be out done, I shoot to 0.9 feet and the hole is halved :)

    Both with tricky birdie putts on 15, neither of us wanted to win the hole and both putts lip out :(

    On 16, my shot carries to 15feet about the pin and Tess about 12feet left of the pin. My putt slides by again and almost 6feet passed the hole. A 12footer to win the hole once again slides just by the edge forcing me to hole my par putt, which I thankfully was able to.

    My drive on the 17th was a bit of a hook and never got enough height and was stopped in the rough 41yds short. Tess fires her drive right at the green, coming up 12yds short of the hole, just off the front right of the green. My 2nd shot comes up almost 9feet short and the chip from Tess went just passed the edge again, but about 5feet away. I hole my putt, hoping that would have been enough to win the hole, but never any doubt that the Champ was going to miss.

    Onto what I was hoping wouldn't be the final hole. Both drives easily in the middle of the fairway. My 2nd shot came up just short of going up the tiers in the green and rolled back down 36feet away. Tess then stepped up and drove the final nail in my coffin and shot into just over 6feet. I was unable to hole my putt, coming up a few feet short, with what looked like a very close line and the match was over. But I had to make the Champ putt out :) which she did, rolling her 6footer to about 5inches away, and with that, the Champ was given her crown.

    Very well played Tess, I'm just glad I got it down the final hole after the way that I started. It didn't matter what I was able to throw at you, you had ever answer, well, apart from when I holed for Eagle lol.

    This has been such a fun tourney to have been a part off and I thank you Luciano for my invite and of course Simo for all of his assistance. The quality of play throughout the whole of the tourney has been top notch, as shown by the close outcomes of most of the matches.

    To everyone that I have played, I thank you greatly for finding the time to fit in our matches and for the great spirit that our matches were played in.

    I must end this before I ramble on too much lol, but I look forward to all of the battles that are ahead for all of us. Thank you and goodnight.

    Ryan

    Scrorecard for the 3rd place match with frealzu -

    It was a good game and actually is a lot closer then the score indicated here.

    We both started slow and halved the 1st hole after both just missed our long birdie putts.  The next hole was halved with birdies and i managed to take the next hole after frealzu's pitch shot rolled a fair way past the hole then missed his birdie putt and I converted a short putt up the hill.  After both tee shot landed roughly pin high to the left of the pin, frealzu made a good attempt for birdie with a difficult put across the side hill and i squeezed home similar but shorter putt for birdie to go 2 up.  Then I made a mess of the short par 4 hole and frealzu won the hole with a par.  At the difficult 15th hole frealzu was unfortunate to put his approach in the bunker short of the pin and left himself with a very difficult shot down the steep hill where as I landed around pin high to the right.  His pitch shot took a big roll past the pin and I made the long putt for birdie to take the lead back to 2 up again.  At the long par3 16th hole frealzu made an excellent tee shot and finished about 3y from the pin.  I lagged my long downhill putt from the front of the green to about 5 ft then frealzu hit his putt nicely but it hit the hole hard and lipped out, very unlucky there !  On to the 17th hole where frealzu hit his approach shot to about 3y and I made mine to about 3 ft.  Unfortunately again his birdie putt just slid by the edge of the hole and he conceded the hole and the match.

    Thanks to frealzu for a very good game and well done to him for a well played tournament, I think the Italian players should be very proud of his achievement here for making it to the semi-final in such a class field.  Thanks everyone involved again, especially Luciano and Simo and congrats to Tess for her excellent win. Bye all ! :-))

    Friday, May 5th

    All the good journeys come to an end. This was an incredible one, and I'm really pleased with the overall run of the tourney.

    We had nice time, great matches, and an amazing playing field, crowded of great players full of sportsmanship. It was the best answer we would have dreamed about.

    Congrats to PRIESTESS, Her Majesty of WGA Tour and Queen of Invitationals: English Lakes & Italian Champ, and Electra finalist. I hope everyone take it easy if I crown her as Best WGT European Player so far;

    Congrats to ryan4spurs: a steady improvement and an excellent mental attitude. His rising to first-class player might be really quick;

    Congrats to coolswing: the amazing and loving WGA Tour setting helped me to think about this Invitational tourney. And your support has been a key, Vic, again;

    Congrats to frealzu: the best italian player of the Invitational and one of the most promising tricoloured Legend. Great job, Antonello;

    Thanks to simovoice, planner and tourney assistant. We went our separate CC ways, but your support has been the most important thing. Even just think about setting it all up.

    Thanks to tiaz79, Antuniccu, Bidi (and coolswing and frealzu again), co-sponsors of the tourney. Your support has been highly appreciated.

    Thank you very much to everyone played the tourney, these are the things I need to be part of WGT community day after day. See you all (I hope) after next WGA Tour Season. :)

    Another great Community Comp,Has came and gone(Sigh),Without such high quality Tourneys which i may add are run so efficiently I wouldn't log into WGT half as much,I was amazed to see how talented and consistent the majority of Italian players are on this site.Also every Italian player i met behave like a Gentlemen and showed perfect Sportsmanship,That is a huge tribute to Luciano and Simo and their country club,:),Huge Claps for all the participants involved in this Tourney for Playing their games with-out any delays,Its so important to keep the momentum going in any Community run Tourney and this Italian Invitation was a complete Success,And perfectly timed after an absorbing WGA Tour,Big Thanks to all the Sponsors It definitely adds a cutting edge to the games,Thank You for Invite Luciano and im very lucky to be crowned winner in such talented company,(Cant believe i won a Match Play tourney LOL )

    I agree with everything the champ has said. Well, apart from not believing that she won, a deserved champ :)
