  I'd like to get some examples of how you all take notes for your game play. Spreadsheets or written. Just so I have a baseline for doing something myself. Please and Thank You!

  Yeah, I use the free 'notepadtabs' and jot down quick observations. It's easy if you have no prob typing.

   

  My 2 cents:

  Playing by feel etc. may be nice but I found it less expensive to play when you make note a certain hole plays short or long. Better than recalling after the fact 'oh my ball landed short and in the water, yet again' (that certain hole on Valhalla is it?) 

  Almost each hole on wgt, imo has its own idiosyncrasies and I don't have a expert memory.

  If you play the same course you may not require notes, also.

  Do you think the real pros play by feel alone? Why do you think their caddies have all those little note books they keep in their pockets to use when the pro is faced with a crucial shot.

  Get away with it banging the crap out of the easy stuff.  Won't be usually competing in the grown up comps though.

  Not to put too fine a point on it, but the real pros are also not playing for fun. If they miss a shot short or long, it can potentially cost them thousands of dollars. If I do that maybe I lose a ball and have to take another survey to get more credits to replace it. :-)

  For the most part, I play by feel as well. Besides, I doubt that if I were to take notes that it would help me all that much anyway. It would just slow me down in missing the shot! :-)
