Who says flash is such a security risk? Google! Who owns Chrome? Google! Who wants to kill flash? Google! Why?  I believe it is because they wanted to own flash and could not get it so they want to kill it instead.

The December, 2015 Flash update patched 78 security holes (more holes than the British Open, notes The Register in www.theregister.co.uk/2015/12/08/78_flash_bug_patches/ ), and I remember three updates in one month since spring.  So, essentially, Adobe says Flash is a security risk.

Google is far from the only entity that says Flash is a security risk. The US government lists hundreds of known security problems in Flash. Firefox has blocked Flash Player on occasion when the holes were just too severe. Apple doesn't allow Flash on their mobile devices for security reasons. Facebook says Flash is beyond repair.
