I saw a couple of posts regarding flops and aiming to the left.  here is a formula to calculate offset and how far to the left you should go.

yardage to the pin * .085  (using the grid square as a measurement)

    So a 12yd flop will go 1.02 yards to the right of the pin. (12 * .085 = 1.02)

go to reverse view, click on the marker to see the grid, move the marker 1.02 square(s) to the right. Remember this is reverse view, so move the marker to the right.

i came up with .085 by doing dozens of flop shots to figure out distance and offset.  probably done a few hundred in games.

    Hope that helps somebody

Most players I know (real good players, not hacks like me) adjust aimer for wind and then 'ding' on the line to the left of the actual ding line. It never fails.

    good point. :)

I am a ding player because of the consistency of timing.  I'm not good enough to be "off ding" early on some shots/putts and late on others.  At this point, i don't have to calculate.  it's one square per 12 yards basically.

Heh, discovered in 2009, or so, this is one thing that hasn't changed. I flop about once a year and this still works.  :-)

I would imagine your method is more accurate and is good info to have, especially for 'dingers'.

The method I described is good for 'off dingers' and the hard of thinking, like me. ;)

lol.  I'm the opposite.  I very very rarely chip, i NEVER pitch.   I either flop or "full shot" :)

You're missing out on a serious couple of shots, especially with your ball/wedge combo. Your 64W pitches 17 with fbs and is very easy to control.  Want more distance, release the spin in increments. It's really easy to learn. The 7 yard chip is too.  :-)

My wedge pitches at 14yds, I hole out quite a lot with it, I only chip 0-5yds. Rarely flop at all.

Solarflares always uses full shot around the greens and he holes them regularly!

i started to use flops exrensively as chipping seemed so random sometimes going 4-5yrd over wat i hit....seemed pointless type of shot.....

used flop and for about 3 weeks i could hit a 21-29 yrd perfect but suddenly this week for no reason them same flop shots no go 2-3 yrd further....maybe the game is trying to keep me on my toes...lol this random extra length has cost me plenty of birdies this week..lol
