I have read how the countback works and never questioned it before but I have just been knocked off for 1st place in the latest St Andrews ready to go front 9. I shot 30 and so did another bloke. The thing is I was doing nothing for the first 4 holes then fired up to finish -5 for the last 5 so does this mean the guy that now has me on a countback played -6 for the last 6.
