You'll be competing against other clubs for club status and in-game rewards, including these new 8 ball tees and flags to use in country club tournaments!

And that is the incentive to play these events.

"Club Status": Hidden deep in the game client, visible only to members of a CC. 200 of ?4000? participating CCs (*) are in display.

"Tees and Flags": Notorious in ruining CC tournaments by causing errors.
When we were more into it, I always hoped NOT to reach the Top 25...

Hurray - we played Georgian in the second match after winning the first!

It was four of us against an undisclosed no. of them (no chance to pull the list down below 80 players, but I see that there are more). They received 40 points of participation award, that is for 25 to 50 %, 60 - 120 potential players.

They won by an insiginficant margin, with 10.742 points. Overall, they are in a close match with MM, 3% in front of them. The competition might become interesting if you are into money races.

One player of Georgian scored 1000+ points (**), 25 others between 100 and 750 points. #40 scored 50 points.

(*) We are 1170th with 1700 points - just a projection to the end...

(**) He bought at least 30 passes on the first Clash day, plus 600 shots of Speed-Up Boost Ultra.

Therein lies the truth or incentive.........and it is one way traffic into WGT's coffers.

So we can complain forever, but no one will hear us .

Have to disagree with you on that CE....they hear us, they just don't give a blind bit of notice because, as they have repeatedly shown, they don't give a **** about the paying customers.

    Be polite, Tom:

They put their priorities to other subjects of their(!) interest...

Thus, my OP was probably superfluous: I wanted to point to a new(?) glitch in the Clashes, hoping(!?!) that they might correct it.

But, later, I remembered why I virtually stopped to play the Events. It's due to the fact that the "zero points" flaw has been around for at least 20 Events, from #4 on. (no current information though) Current standing: It's o.k. for me - points in an immediate second game have been counted correctly.

So I have to return to my long standing POV:

They are WGT, hope is futile!

    (not today)

WGT is not listening , Its all about the money .  The sad thing is, they don't realize they can make a lot more money if they would fix it .  I believe the people who read these threads are not the people who make those decisions , So we can complain forever, but no one will hear us .

Those who know me know I like a good moan but even I realized a while ago that WGT don't really care about CCs.

I still find it bizarre.  If they really thought about it and did some sort of forecast, they would see that the ball sales from a fair and decently run CC comp would see them make a load more dosh than whatever they are getting from these CC pass sales.

They should go back and look at how their profits were boosted a few years ago from the excellently run CC Grand Prix Tournament

In the initial clashes speed up boosts where prizes for the clashes. Many people complained about the pointless prizes. So WGT was happy to remove the prize many complained about. Now you have to buy them them too if you want to play in the top ranks of a clash.

I don't like the speed boost and only use it if there are not enough minutes left until I reach a tournament deadline or playing the daily bonus round in time.

I feel bad for all the folks that spend a lot of time, effort and money to play in the CC events ,Under the impression they are helping the CC ,   I feel bad for the country clubs that try, but always come up short .  I feel bad that WGT has nothing to say or any plans to improve the event ,  Should a game you love make you sad ?   This one does .

Doesn't make me sad as our CC tend to give the whole thing a swerve and do our own thing in terms of competitions.  More disappointed as for many the CCs are the lifeblood of their WGT experience and deserve better from WGT Towers.  Every decision is driven by one overriding question nowadays and that's "How's can we squeeze the most profit out of our efforts?"  That seems to totally divert their attention away from the player experience.

To be honest until another game provides competition on the CC/social side of things I don't see anything much changing.  I am aware though that many of our CC can't wait for that very feature to appear on another game so they can make the jump from here.
