"It is certain" that you'll play CC Event #29 this week

  Saw this heading(threat?) top the news items on the WGT home page and had a bit of a scare.  I had visions of WGT henchmen bashing down my front door and forcing me to play this 'competition' at knife point.

  Thankfully it wasn't as certain as indicated, and I shan't participate as per usual.

  Yeah, "Vinny Catballs" & "Joey Teemarker " paid me a visit the other day with an offer they thought I couldn't refuse, but, until it's actually a competition, I told 'em to go intimidate someone else.

  WHY IS THIS WGT?

  I'll tell YOU whats certain - YOU  will not have a YEARLY MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT for one of  WGT's most SUPPORTIVE and ANIMATED member who died suddenly on the 4th of July.

  I am more than willing to eat crow but I truly do not think I have anything to worry about.

  That is the most absurd thing I have ever seen posted here!

  C'mon man, it's 2016 and WGT is based in America, no self respecting "henchman" would kick your door down wielding a knife, they would have "Guns"(probably one of those cool ones with a huge magazine), kidnap a family member or beloved pet, you might wake up with a dead horses head in your bed like the Godfather movie!!!!

  Not to mention that kicking ones door in is so dated, they would use some electronic device to circumvent your security system, pick the lock, and come in dressed in black with "night vision" goggles on!

  A knife is so 1960's....you need to watch more TV, I recommend the DTV premium package!

  There were threads dedicated to Andy with a majority of the forum "regulars" supporting some kind of tribute...a memorial tournament, or his elevation to Tour Champion, etc. WGT suggested that something was in the works, and still under consideration. Not a peep since.

  How long was the addition of meowing balls to the pro shop under consideration?...

  i think your right ct andy should be a tour champion and its about time wgt opened this tier up....

  Regarding opening up the Champion Tier, what will this accomplish? You will get a bunch of players promoted and the rest will sandbag and dominate the Champion Tier just like what is done at every other tier.

  That's exactly why I suggested (different thread) the TC tier be exclusive to only those who have made a significant positive impact on the wgt family. Normal criteria like ranked rounds and averages should be irrelevant.

  It is my understanding that ( other than Icon ) the only other TC status was awarded to " Phiber ", posthumously. Since the precedent has already been established, I see no reason for the delay in recognizing Andyson for his outstanding contributions to the WGT community. I sincerely hope WGT / Topgolf does the right thing and rectifies this situation in a timely manner.
