    F*ck the bass, when the horns kicked in I was away with it, had to dance. Not a pretty sight!

    dancing to horns, i always thought people danced to the rhythm.

    All depends on the track...if it's James Brown, or Wilson Pickett, or the Crusaders in this case, the horns are tight and punchy, and bobbing and weaving like a boxer...part of the weave of the overall rhythm.  If it's a big band, like Glenn Miller, couples are moving and swaying to the horn waves.

    So yeah, dancing to horns is pretty common.

    Waves. WAVES!!! It's what the brass section does. Waves of beauty creating layers of pumping foot-stomping excitement!

    Playing guitar over that is a total privilege and like snorting...never mind.

    Peter, indeed it is what the brass section does...of course it doesn't hurt to have Gene Krupa pounding the skins.  Case in point:
