  Just a heads up to those who have Max5 . There is now a Beta2 version that you can download . You can get it through the Maxthon forum if you want it .

  The MX5 doesn't work worth a damn for me...but once they get out of Beta I will try again so if you could keep us posted that would be great.

  Hey Jay did you try both core versions ? In the settings you can switch between Retro and Ultra core webkits .  Each one has a different flash version which will change how the game and meter works . The Retro version works best for me and keeps the meter very smooth . So if you still have it try switch between the 2 and see if that works .

  I am trying it but when I type the space bar does not work. I use a period to space words. when I switch between the retro to ultra I lose the flash player. any suggestions

  Sounds like you are using the Retro version to type . Dont know why it does that but it also does it with the cloud version as well . Change out to the Ultra version and see if that works .

  Maxthon 5, huh?

  Well, based on this thread I decided to download it. 

  Things haven't worked out quite so well in the hour I've used it.
  
  First it wanted my phone number to send a verification code. That didn't work. Then I was asked for my email address. That eventually worked, though I got a message saying, "Sorry, sever break down. Try again" a few times. Very broken English. Turns out Maxthon is made by a Chinese company.

  We shall see how this works.

  i cannot find the maxthon forums but on the maxthon website there is a download for mx5, is this the correct version?

  To access the forum scroll down to bottom of  browser page . But yes you should be able to use the link on the top of the page MAX5
