How about making it count the Fairway as hit whenever you drive the fringe.

As it stands now, if you drive it very nice and get the fringe (not fairway or green), you do not get the credit for hitting the fairway.

I think this is wrong, because you've obviously driven the ball well and yet because you get the fringe and not the green or fairway, you wind up with a pathetic driving percentage at the end of a round.

A remedy to this would be greatly appreciated, as I do not wish to be "penalized" for going for the green anymore.

    Thank You for your time,

I've been here a while and feel your pain. Last time I cared to look I was at 89% + change and it broke my heart that I went below 90% considering I was at 94.4%.

the requirement is to be on the fairway.  what about all those times when you, or anyone's driven ball initally hits on the rough, fringe, bunker, sand, water?, and then comes to rest on the fairway or green and you DO recieve credit for it.  hypocrite.  my nickles worth.

How is that being a hypocrite?  Those kinds of drives legitimately end up on the fairway, regardless of how they get there.  Now I don't know about you, but when I'm out on a real course, I consider the fringe to be a part of the fairway, and really if its not in the rough, bunker, or water, I consider that to be a fairway.
