Happened to me too - around that same time.  I just finished hole 8 of a 9er.  I wonder if it is connected to the Country Club Tournament/Country of Residence issue???  Maybe their fixing it!

i'm more inclined to think it's been some WGT file that's triggered false AV warning alerts...that's all...nothing too sinister.

if an AV don't recognise the makeup of a file/cookie etc it'll cry Warning.

    what you say WGT???

Happened to me during a match play game and crashed game window. Restarted and finished game. Ran my AV scan and found nothing.

Happened around 1:30 AM Central 3-23-11.

Will get screen shot next time.

You spooks drive me nuts. Check this, unhook that, plug this in, download ,upload, and piss & moan about all of it. What a mess.

I also got a fake alert while playing yesterday - & nothing else was running but WGT. Did not click on it of course - because it looked just like a nasty bit of malware I had recently - and it went away - but very worrying. Could it be linked to the explosion of ADs were now getting?

This does fit the MO of a phishing scam.  Do not click on virus warnings unless you are sure that they are coming from your legitimately installed anti-virus software (ie AVG, Kaspersky etc).

Adobe Flash exploit to be patched next week

    by Darren Allan

Adobe has issued a warning that a critical vulnerability has been detected in its Flash player.

The vulnerability is exploited via a corrupt Flash file packaged inside a Microsoft Excel file. Apparently the XLS file sets up the system memory to make the attack more effective, and with success it installs persistent malware on the target machine.

    It ain't WGT's fault.
