Oh....and fix the spacebar not working in chat too

That is a setting in your browser somewhere .

I'm more inclined to think it might be a Javascript regular expression (regex) routine which may be used to search for text characters. It can be configured to allow only certain characters to be used, and the slight differences in the way Javascript works between browsers might be causing the regex to disallow spaces in certain browsers.

Thanks for the feedback. I have found it and disabled it.

    Cheers

Well I did this and I still get the shot clock. Do we have a bug somewhere that stop you from disabling it??

    WGTicon:

    • Shot-Clock Tournaments - New option for Country Clubs to create tournaments with shot-clock timers ranging from 10 seconds (speed round!) to 45 seconds.

    -WGTicon

Why has this been put in. This is wrong and unprofessional on WGT behalf. They have dropped the ball on this one. Looks like that WGT wants to start dictating on how we are to play the game golf. Where in real world golf do we have a shot clock.

If this is what WGT is going to start to do, then I have no desire to continue to be a member of WGT.

    Please have this removed.

As Icon said in the part of his post that you quoted, Shot-Clock tournaments are an option that can be implemented when creating tournaments in Country Clubs. It is not mandatory, it is just a feature that can be chosen if desired. This makes the games more like multiplayer games since they do all have a shot-clock timer included.

You can play rounds on your own as often as you like without any shot-clock timer, and you can play WGT tournaments without any shot-clock timer but if a tournament has been created that includes a shot-clock then there is no way to disable it during play any more than you could do that in a multiplayer game.

And just in case there is any confusion, the shot-clock timer and the shot data panel are completely different things. The data panel can be disabled in Settings as previously described, but obviously this will have no effect at all on any shot-clock timer for the reasons stated above.

Sorry to be stupid but where do I find Game Settings?

If you are in a game already you need to go to Menu|Options instead. Another design used by WGT to make its user interface more complicated than necessary.

That takes me to the same menu as the game settings one where the option to disable it isn't there.

Adds covering small scorecards in between holes.  Can't shut them down,  Can't progress from hole to hole.

Totally unplayable.   Might be the worst I've seen in 7 years.

You have to scroll down in there, many more options below virtual caddy.
