Security Warning Pop Up

  Problem:

  Windows security warning pop up. Stating multipe  serious threats.

  The game client window either crashed or changed to Warning window.

  Main wgt window remained open. No other programs or browsers windows running.

  When:

  Around 1:30AM Central 3-23-11 during a regular match play game.

  Where:

  BPB hole 2 (I Think) , right after I putted in to win hole.

  What I did:

  Closed Warning window as it was "scanning". I did'nt know if it was a "fake" window or not! Next time I will get screen shot.

  Ran a quick Avast AV scan and found nothing. Started a full scan and restarted game window and finished match.

  Nothing found on full scan.

  System:

  Win 7 Pro 64 bit - IE8 - Auto updated.

  Flash ver. 10,2,153,1 installed earlier today.

  Avast Antivirus free - Auto updated. Real-time shield running.

  This does fit the MO of a phishing scam.  Do not click on virus warnings unless you are sure that they are coming from your legitimately installed anti-virus software (ie AVG, Kaspersky etc).

  Yep.  I got the same thing yesterday 3/22 while playing Blitz by myself.

  I am getting same thing again tonight. Virus warning window opens and the playing window closes.  Does anyone know if WGT is looking into this?

  block all the ads and all of the un-necessary cookies that loads with the game client and you don't get these little critters ;)
