I tried playing the 15 sec. shot clock tournament at Merion today and was dinged four times in three holes.  Three in a row on #3 while I was looking for a way to quit the round.  This is not golf!  One cannot see the landing area of the shots because of the previous shot info blocking the view of the hole so the shot is blind.  To be able to erase this blockage, adjust one's aim and, perhaps, change clubs and add spin to the ball takes all the time from the clock.  And I have not yet mentioned lining up a putt!  At 15 seconds, this is NOT golf;  you may want to call it "Russian Roulette" or something like that! :O)

    Respectfully,

    P-47

There was a shotclock tourney and I missed it?  Grr.

15 is too fast but I'd kill for some tournies with a 30 second clock.  I'd play stroke for that.

See, I don't know if that's real or not.  I never heard of that being introduced by WGT, despite all my begging.

    You're right.  I found it.

I rather wish it was a one-time play instead of unlimited, but I'll definitely be playing it before the end of the month.  I hope WGT has a lot more of these.  This was the most adamant suggestion I made for WGT over the last 3 years.
