Days Played Issue

  Ah, so if that is simply the new normal, OK - obviously it could be calculated one way or the other.

  That does not make sense that some people can play single player tourneys after the new day begins and get CDP and the extra 880 points and others can not. 

  Perhaps if you have cleared everything out of history, cache etc. and it still doesn't work, try using a different browser.  I like CC cleaner to clean out the computer (free version).  Also, I have been clearing everything out before each new game because I noticed some weird things happening if I do not do that.

  I use Firefox for a browser and that works fine for me.

  The days played counter and XP should now be counted on the first stroke of the first round played. I believe this is also the time that will be factored in to when you played(I.E. round is counted when you take your first stroke, not when you finished the round) We have received a few reports regarding Alt Shot rounds not counting for some players for their first round played and days played counter and we are investigating this.

  Somebody made a change and the announcement of that change is buried on the 27th page of a forum 10 days after the change was installed.

  Procedures and communication really need to be improved.

  It was stated by a mod and confirmed here.

  My short version of it is,

  "The first shot of the first game started on the new CDP day (that is, after 12 pm GMT) immediately transfers the CDP bonus XPs to the player (and CC, if a pass is involved)"

  From my experience of nine CDPs, it works 100% for solo strokeplay, even when the games are quit.

  Problems are being reported for A/S and perhaps other MP games. From my text above, I'm guessing that it might be caused by the fact that only one player has "the first shot" and the others don't. I'm not into MP games any more, but if I'm right, the inviting player would get the CDP bonus and the others wouldn't. They'd have to play an extra shot by themselves.

   

  I the above has nailed the issue.

   

  First shot of any game gets CDP. So whoever shoots first gets it.

  Now they just need to fix it so the first of each player in the game gets it.

  Used to be you only got CDP if the round was completed (be it normal, pratice or teven those example holes.)

  Firefox works fine for me too.  What I don't understand is how it can work one way for years and years and then someone at WGT makes a change which changes it and nobody at WGT can figure out how it happen, why it happen or how to make it like it used to be.

  What was wrong with starting before the day ended and finishing after and getting the credits?  The problem is if WGT wanted to make sure that in order to earn the extra credit that you started after the day changed they would have told us in News of the change.  The real problem is they have no clue how it happen.

  This all began for me after your last so called update.   The last time I received extra pts was Sunday the 4th of Sept..   You then took my 410 days away from me and 3 out of the last 8 days, I never even got a pass to play.  I play everyday with a friend    same time   live just a few miles from him, yet he gets his pass, gets his extra days and you have not taken any of his days away.   So many of us our just sick of the  incompetence you at wgt  show in everything you try to do and we who pay to play get the shaft on a regular basis.  My  recommendation to the idiots that you have working there is to not do updates, add equipment that a lot  of players will never be able to purchase anyway.  If fact maybe you should just start over at the beginning and go from there.  Everything you do just creates more and more issues.    I have enough credits left to buy 1 more sleeve of the balls that I use and after that, I will begin to use Trash balls. I will not throw my money away anymore to support stupid people ( people that have no clue what they are doing).   Thank god I have no need to purchase so called better  equipment.  What I have will do me just fine.

  You know it as a fact? I don't, I was only guessing that three of four might be debarred.

   

  The good news of this change is that we'll get the CDP from the first shot, regardless of discons and quitters and whatnots.

  Bad news - if I guessed right - would be that you could no longer push the CC bonus with an MP game - you'd need two passes to get it all.

  But, 880 XPs per day and member should be enough for any CC. Many (like mine, L11) don't need them at all.
