SPatrick8896: Does consecutive days actually matter?
It matters indirectly to players of certain levels who want to improve by buying better equipment. Said equipment is released by levels, and levelling up requires XPs.
For convenient play it's good to keep the levels in "harmony" with
the tiers - otherways, you won't have fun with short equipment from long
tees!
The CDP bonus is the highest extra XPs you can get besides of playing A LOT!
It's 880 XPs after only six days of continuous play, and now you need only one shot per day to get it. (mind you, the "day" is in GMT timezone!)
Two 18 hole tournaments give only a tad (70?) more XPs in at least an hour's time!
OTOH, there's the belief in the big number. 500 CDPs, 1000, 2000... some think that this matters a lot to them. From another POV, it's a perfect means of bonding the players to the game.
A recent change in programming has cost many players their CDP, and some whine loudly... But, the CDPs are visible only to the player himself, there's no comparisons, no leaderboard etc., so what the heck? If you chose to get back on the train, it might have "cost" you two or three days to the next level, but it's no death threat
- it's but a game, the goal should be fun! and not points and purchases!
