This may have already been covered, and if so I apologize...

Can we get better match-up in room play? Somehow, a lvl 34 amateur (me) always seems to draw a Legend (or some other astronomical rank) when playing rooms...and we alway seem to start off the same color tee. On some courses, I can't even hit the fairway off the tee. I fail to see how this is fair, to either player, imho.

If another player of my rank isn't available for play, at least give me the option of returning to the main menu without forfeiting the entrance fee, rather than playing someone I have no hope of beating on a course I can't even drive?

    Thanks

If you are setting up the game, you have an option for rank - under reputation.

If joining a game, the only way you would be playing off the same tees is in practice mode and they have set the conditions including the tees.

If it is a ranked game, this will have you off your tees, but it will adopt the highest ranked players green speed (tournament for a legend).

My advice is play with higher tiers, most will give you tips and advice. Winning is irrelevant, and will help you long term.

    1. Where can I find that setting?

    2. Incorrect. I have joined many, many MP games and some set you on different tees, some on the same. It seems completely random and not related to rank at all...i just played a lvl 65 master off the same tee. If there is a way to adjust this, please tell me.

    3. I don't shy away from higher their players, but I feel it is very one-sided. At the very least, shouldn't a lower their player receive more XP when playing a higher their player? I'm losing money by playing them, I don't gain any skill by driving off the same tee on a fairway I can't make... At least reward me with more XP to level up.

To be honest, I have never played on android - I use a Note 4 and for me, the screen size has no appeal for me.

Therefore the settings may be different and perhaps a android user could chime in. The menus may be completely different.

On the PC platform, if the stroke round or match play is in practice mode, the segment at the bottom can be changed - any player joining will play from the "set" conditions. However in a ranked stroke round or scored MP, this will be set to default tees (your tees).

As you seem to be playing for money or coins, my advice is play against peers only....even then there are a lot of sharks....so beware.

If it is practice with nothing at stake, higher tiers will give tips and advice, so it can be worth it.

As for additional XP's this will not happen.....and I am assuming you mean XP's that help you increase level, not coins or credits.

No it's coins that increase levels in the mobile app.

The problem comes when you get a higher ranked player who doesn't play lots of H2H games but has loads of xp in ranked rounds, thats when you get what look like mismatches.

Having said that, I have plenty of coins but in the Chelsea room in particular, I get drawn regularly against amateur and pro's, even the odd hack.

As stated it's a opportunity to chat and learn but most of them don't even bother replying to my initial "Hi good luck" message and 90% of them forfeit before the game ends.

This game isn't about winning all the time, you aren't playing against your playing partner, rather you are both pitting your wits and equipment against the course, the only way to get better is practise and forfeiting does no one any favours
