Finally 1500 videos down i am ready to buy my TaylorMade M1 9.0° Driver (L74+), then i read a comment that i should actually get the TaylorMade R1 TP 9.0 White Driver .

Which one is better and why,  i just don't get the rating and scales.

The level 48 R1 is a great driver. I used it for a long time with good effect. But the level 74 M1 has better length, better precision and a slower meter.

I am using a level 48 R1, and I have named it my boomstick.  I love it so hard.  Can't speak to the higher level clubs from tees that are farther back, except to say that at my current tee position I often get in trouble using full power on my boomstick.

I also have something named my boomstick, and my girlfriend loves it so hard.

It truly warms the cockles of me heart to know your boomstick is being loved so hard.  May you tend to her greens with detailed attention...

For the lower level players The R1 is the must have club from the tees . When I had it it was at L93+ limited edition and many claimed that it had super powers . It was a great driver though and I loved it for a good time . But since you are only 5 levels away you could wait for the L74+ M1 . But you can do with the R1 now what you will do with the M1 later and for 500 credits less .

Both are good clubs stats wise but other than a slower meter nothing to make the M1 a real game changer . You can make up the club difference with a good ball since its only 5 yards on average . So it comes down to do you want to wait or not and nothing more .

In my opinion if you are going to get a new driver there is a better option than either the level 48 R1 and the Level 74 M1. That is the level 79 Taylor Made SLDR white Driver. It has very similar attibutes in all areas and is rated 2 yards longer than the M1 and 7 yards longer than the R1. But the main reason that I feel it is better is the trajectory. Both the other 2 are med/high whereas the SLDR is high trajectory. There are many drives over trees and the such that require high trajectory. You will have to wait longer but in my opinion it will be well worth the wait.

However you might consider upgrading your irons and wedges first. Better irons and wedges will get you closer to the hole and help you lower your scores.
