    TopShelf2010:

    Maybe you could enlighten me?

How does the Shot Clock Timer affect the amount of ball hits?

    Don

Good question Don.  I can only assume the inference is that shots are rushed, therefore the green is missed and an extra hit of the ball is needed to get onto the green.  Hardly a disaster, especially as you can alter the timer for multi player games or just not play solo rounds with a time limit.  I also find the 60s timer annoying but because it reduces chat time, nothing to do with not having enough time.  if you need more than a minute to aim your shot you need to find another game.

If this slightly accelerated ball wear is such a concern then I have to ask the OP why the hell he's playing with 650 credits a sleeve balls when Cally L33 do a perfectly good job for way under half the price.

If you really think WGT is greedy why are you pandering to their greed?

Quicker games = more games played per session = more ball use/sales.

I think this is his logic, such as it is.

Okay Folks... it's time for another round of that whacky new forum game show "What Drugs Are They On ? " Today we're playing the "Corporate" version, where you name the useless addition to the game by WGT's marketing geniuses, and the associated drug use that caused it.

Disclaimer: Participants knowledge of pharmaceutical side effects does not indicate prior usage nor is it meant to promote such use.

    Doc :)

There should be a slight modification to enhance this game...what drugs are they on; and what drugs should they be on; to better help them define a reasoned world-view. This goes for some of the players also.

Could be caused by any number of pharmaceutical products, the main symptoms being balls wearing out rapidly

A waste of very little time.

    Cheers!

    To comment:

I think if this guy would wash his balls more frequently, they may last longer. Also If you have dirty balls, you may not find the hole as often.

    Priceless mate.....

My take, most online FTP, PTW (and WGT is deffo PTW - you cannot compete without spending some kind of $ - if you disagree, then load up starter clubs and balls and try out Merion from the tips) game devs do not listen to their long standing, faithful, forum posting supporters.   You/we are not their primary target market - new players who need to get through the progression to TL are the money spinners.

They will monitor ARPU (average revenue per user) for various levels and task the goofs in marketing for thinking up new strategies to counter any drop offs from their deemed acceptable levels.   ARPU drops for levels 100+ ?, bring out new "uber" balls/clubs and watch the money roll in.

Dunno which propeller head thought up the #khatball, but either his balls have not dropped yet or they just take pleasure in making our balls heavy......
