I gotta tell ya, I was really starting to get discouraged.  I have been here at WGT for two or three months now. And I have got to be the worst player here. Almost always at least 10 or more over on nine, and a lot more than that on eighteen. I'm really starting to hate comming in last  every time. I have considered changing my name to  bogieboy. And don't even get me started on CTTH matches. I SUCK !   So when I saw that hole in one drop in the cup I damn near fell out of my chair. Then I started whooping and hollering like an idiot.  Glad nobody was around to see that.

If anyone has any advice or tips to help me improove my game,  I could sure use it. Maybe then I'll start entering some multiple player matches and won't be embarrassed by my performance.

Anyway here is the link to my ace in the hole.

awsome shot Blues, i have not seen any one since i been on here ever make a hole in 1 on that par 3 i see more wet balls than any thing LOL. my best advice to give you and some people will think differently is that every thing i notice come's in to factor your wind speed club's ball's play a role in every thing you do, practice with your favorite ball to start with (but dont just favor a ball test as many as you can), work the clubs for that ball because every game is different, same shot's that you performed before with the same exact wind direction will not be the same next time, adjust your shot short or long depending your distance and again wind. the better the club the better the game. you really have to have the feel for it, let's just say st andrew's 1st hole you tee'd of and you have a shot of 78 yd's wind is coming at you from the right 18miles an hour the pin placement is closer to the canal i would shoot for 88-90yd's 3/4 past the ding line with no spin i would usually land with in 2yrds of the pin if not closer. but is still depends on your club and the ball and some times the wind will be at that speed or it could be higher or feel like it's lower and that could effect the adjustment too. but all in all really you have to play  and get a feel every thing. i hope this helped you out and made any sense to you, i really hope you save that hole in 1 cause man that was very sweet.

    Heh-heh! Ain't that the way da'Blues works?  ;)

Congrats on gettin' a chance to feel that feelin'! Mine there came about a month after I started - similarly outta-da-blue and similarly while I was playing alone. I've had a few close one's since, but none dropping until this past Wednesday in an Alternate Match with the only 3 souls who'll ever see my second Ace (on Kiawah #8). The feeling was an even better one, being that there were friends there to see it go in... "LIVE"!

So what if a replay couldn't be saved... the reactions from the others was priceless.

It really made that "Juke Joint Jump"!!!   : ]]

Don't deny yourself that feeling by thinkin' you're not good enuff to enter Multiplay Matches! It doesn't take a H-I-O to make you feel like you've contributed to a team victory in an Alternate Shot round!  ;)

So.... keep yer head up, get out there and play, and hopefully you'll not have to wait as long as I did for #2 to come along!  :)

    GL,
