So, what purpose does it really serve?    It's placed in a bad position and blocks the hole layout.   Anymore pop ups like 'last shot' stats and there won't be any play screen left.

I just don't see how it helps the 'average' player and becomes just a distraction.

    BingoBen:
what purpose does it really serve?

You see interesting facts that you'd see when looking concentrated at a replay, you see them every time but you need them only when dialling in your clubs. You see them only after the shot when you can't use them any more in the current game, and you see loads of facts that are irrelevant, like the shot elevation and the spin rate.

To me, the purpose is "SOMETHING NEW!" and the most relevant fact is that we can turn it off!

Seems to me that it is actually pretty useful. My perspective: it tells me the carry and the rollout of various clubs (would be helpful if backspin was shown as a negative roll though!), and the % of spin you actually applied. This is really helpful in club mapping. The apex information would be helpful when comparing clubs to see if every iron is the same loft across all sets (i.e. does the Vapor 8I go as high as the RSi 8I?)  This too would be helpful in determining which sets to try out.

Ultimately, yes it seems like most people don't like it for the reason that it blocks off the map on the top right. Personally, never found this to be an issue, but at least be thankful that WGT gave the option to close the window or not have it display at all!

The purpose is that it shows you what really happened with your shot, vs what you planned. The shot elevation and spin percentage are particularly useful. Best new feature in a long time, in my opinion.

    You make me curious:

I reckon you analyse the apex information for each club and shot and store it
for future use? How do you compare it, what kind of reference do you have?

Which conclusions are possible, which action do you take before a shot,
how does it better your game?

I know tis is not a common thing to do, I say THANK YOU, WGT for the new Last Shot Feature.

It has been very helpful in assisting me to map my current balls with my clubs. It's all about history. Someone once said, "If you forget your history, you're bound to make the same mistake over again." For the year and a half  that I've been playing this has been the only tool that has allowed me to (without rushing to click replay) see the results of my shots In the fairways. I can see how long my Irons CARRIED, and the ROLL afterwards. Same thing when hitting wedges to greens.  the APEX lets me know if I need to hit that shot as a full or punch based on wind. the SPIN allow me to know what the distance of my backspin and last but not least the POWER. There are shots that we guess what percentage we are hitting the because our shot pal doesn't increment such as 82% or 78%, who doesn't want to know if you put the right amount of juice to make that shot work. JUST REMEMBE HISTORY IS GOOD - IT HELPS TO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES AND IT WORKS FOR RECONSTRUCTING THE GOOD!

    I'm just saying

What I dont understand is why they would place it in a spot that you view after hitting the ball to see where the ball is going. By the time youve  clicked it off. the balls on the ground already. Just have it pop up after the shot maybe

    Alosso,

I was going to answer you, but Siders Best already did. The effects of spin vs distance are particularly useful. Elevation is useful too, particularly where those pesky trees are involved.
