I know its sort of a constant theme but I used to enjoy the ready-go's but I'm getting a bit hacked off with them at the moment.
When I go out for a round, I don't always go out in 30 mph winds and greens like billiard tables, if that was the case I'd give up - which I'm considering doing with this game to be honest. If we're meant to be good at this game then lets have rounds that are low/slow, heavy/standard etc, I'm pretty much assured when I join a ready-go that I'm going to have heavy/veryfast/tournament and its doing my head in.
Pin positions - don't you have more than two options?
I can't also understand why tier based don't do18 holes and also tier based could have different conditions.
The ready go's over the weekend were a joke, full of bethpage and oakmont, maybe the legends enjoy these over stupid conditions but the fact they weren't filled might give you a clue they aren't popular, make them better conditions more people might try them.
If I'm going to throw my money away I might as well enjoy it!
I'm not good enough for master tier - dunno how I got here, I had a few good rounds at pro and tour-pro but if I do 3/4 under for 18 thats about average for me and thats not master level. Pretty much proven by my overall stats, not based on one or two good rounds - I've not investigated how it works but I assumed (wrongly it appears) that it would be a fair system and it patently isn't. Example being if I come away from the first two holes on Oakmont no worse off that +2 I think I'm doing well. (NOT helped again by the fact I'm always playing heavy/very fast/tournament)
I guess its the best way to make sure you keep getting my money right? - move me up so my equipment needs updating? Like if I kept my old stuff I can't clear the rough on some holes from the tee, so I have to buy more.
