Turned master a few weeks backs and was struggling getting any distance with my then set of K15's.
I looked at all the top players (master and above) and most use the G10’s or better, very few still use k15's etc.
So I bought the G10 3 wood and irons and well I’m struggling big time.
Not only is the sweet spot much smaller but any discrepancy away from the ding is punished way more than on my previous K15’s. For example on the 8th at Kiawah I hit a 4 iron and slightly sliced it, too my shock it sailed off into the lake L
I’m using the G12-S ball to slow the meter down but I don’t think it’s the speed that’s bothering me it’s more the very small target area and the fact if you don’t hit the ding u don’t get close, in fact you sometimes don't get on the green.
I know time and practise will help but having such a small target area really means if you don’t have a smooth meter your goosed and occasionally my meter is anything but smooth. I don’t get the sudden big laggy jerks but I do get slow stutter which makes hitting that ding a real headache.
Anyone any thoughts on the G10’s?
