Not looking to spend much more than 250.

IMHO, Calloway generally gives you the best bang for the buck. Although many players use top Nikes, if a person has neither the talent nor experience to make use of their specs, they are a waste of money.

Unless a person is a serious tournament player or plays for $$ or credits, $2.50 Callys will do the job nicely.

thanks, by looking at the ball specs this one seem to have the best bang for buck. I vowed not to spend real money on balls- watching videos and winning credits for me.

I played the Callaways for a long time. Finally, I decided to upgrade an go with the higher priced Nikes. Unless you want spend a minimum of 450 credits, I don't think there's a better ball in the pro shop under 450 credits than the Callaway L33 ball.

For me, the Nike (L81) balls are worth it. But the effect isn't tremendous or a game changer. I would say that, on average, I probably shoot about 1.5 strokes/18 better with the Nike ball than I did with the Callaway.

It's really the slower meter speed of the Nike that I like. It makes the game more relaxing and fun for me.

Another vote for the Volvics. They've become my day to day ball. Very consistent distance control.

I've never played K7...but I have played Solar Flares. He is an excellent player and can take advantage of the specs. I am an average player. The ball itself isn't the difference. I have played with expensive balls and they didn't help me much.

Best advice is stay with what you can afford and are comfortable with. Use the same rule with any piece of equipment, and you should be fine.:)

You're using the best ball for 250 credits. I use the 34/35 Callaway balls.

If they quit selling the Cally 35/34, I'd quit playing.

EDIT* I mistakenly posted that the 33 had same specs as 34. It was the 35 I was thinking of.

Agreed. Was my ball of choice for a long time when I played more. I play less so used the Nikes.

With any ball, the key is to understanding the distances using different spin.
